Tondo, Hamburg

Directly by the Tonndorf S-bahn station and opposite the well-known STUDIO HAMBURG film production company, the district and neighbourhood shopping centre “Tondo” was created through the amalgamation of various individual plots. In addition to a large TOOM supermarket and approx. 20 shops, an approx. 3,000 sqm medical centre has been built on two levels, which now plays a key role in treating Hamburg’s Tonndorf district. After all the plots were secured in 2004, Matrix’s first project with approx. 35,000 sqm GFA was completed in just twelve months, after a six-month preparation period.
