Bürgermühlenweg, Waiblingen

Following the realisation of the first construction phase of the „Postplatz Forum“ in Waiblingen, the town of Waiblingen released additional areas in the immediate vicinity for sale. These were also purchased by Matrix and realised in the same urban planning style. With the second construction phase, the last spatial boundary for the „Alter Postplatz“ was established and the new prime location of the town centre was created. The settlement of textile merchants like H&M or TALLY WEILL, together with the town of Waiblingen’s new education centre and attractive restaurants and cafés, has led to a strong revival of Waiblingen’s town centre beyond shop opening hours. The underground carpark, which was realised during the first construction phase, was efficiently extended in the second construction phase using pre-installed connections. The successful combination of town centre retail structures and a modern public education centre characterises this urban town centre development.
